The Singing of Compline returns to St. Barnabas in preparation for Easter

BERLIN — The singing of the Office of Compline offers a time for meditation, silence and reflection. The singing of the Anglican Office of Compline continues at 7:15 p.m. each Sunday evening at St. Barnabas throughout the Sundays of the season of Lent, in preparation for Easter, through April 9.

The singing of Compline will focus on chanted prayers, anthems, sung Psalms and hymns appropriate to each special Sunday. The short service is sung in soft lighting, with candles and incense. The Compline Choir is a community group of singers supported by St. Barnabas Church and Music in the Great North Woods, a non-profit organization devoted to enriching the musical culture of the North Country. The event is open to all, free of charge, located at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 2 High Street, in Berlin. For more information call (603) 466-2865 or visit www.musicgnw.org.
