Cutline - Weldathon raises nearly $8,500 for CHaD

Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) representative Hillary Hubbard recently accepted a check for $8,420, raised at an all-day May 4 weldathon hosted by 38 welding students and five instructors at White Mountains Community College in Berlin. Participating students celebrated their success at “giving back,” along with interim WMCC president Dr. Charles Lloyd and Vice President Dr. Fran Rancourt, Community College System of New Hampshire trustee Darrin Daniels and program supporter Bob Chapman, who owns Chapman Scrap Metal, plus instructors Michael Pike, Heather Wells, Stewart White and Jonathan Mullins.
