BERLIN — Ed Lane will be conducting two sessions of hypnotherapy on Saturday, June 3, in the main hall at St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts. The first session, starting promptly at 10 a.m., will focus on weight loss. The second session, scheduled for 12:30 p.m., will focus on smoking cessation.
According to Lane, the subconscious mind and its beliefs control what people do and how they feel. These beliefs determine if someone will be happy or sad, healthy or unhealthy and successful or not.
"Why not take active control of this powerful resource and stop drifting through life? Hypnosis and Emotional Freedom Techniques are probably the best methods of eliminating those old, unwanted, negative beliefs, emotions and habits. Doing so will allow you to live the rich and rewarding life you have always wanted," said Lane.
Lane, of A New You Center in Dover, offers a blend of Hypnosis and Emotional Freedom Techniques. According to Lane, the synergy created by combining these two modalities is nothing short of miraculous and must be experienced to be appreciated.
Lane, a board certified hypnotist, received his training from the Thomas Institute of Hypnosis in Manchester, and graduated first in his class with certification through the National Guild of Hypnotists. In addition to the core program for this certification, Lane has pursued training in pain management, weight reduction techniques, smoking cessation and regression techniques through the guild.
In 2008, Lane began his training in the McFall System of Hypnosis for Weight Loss and Smoking Cessation. According to Lane, this is the best training available anywhere and has allowed him to offer lifetime guarantees to his weight loss and smoking clients.
Lane has also been trained in Emotional Freedom Techniques and has received his certification. According to the release, he has formed a unique practice encompassing both of these modalities to create a complete mind-body program. Lane helps clients to overcome any emotional obstacles they may have which ultimately prevents overall healing by the use of Emotional Freedom Techniques.
According to the release, over the past few years, Lane has been working directly with individuals and groups helping them to resolve their issues and live richer, more fulfilling lives. Lane is totally committed to his clients' needs and will always go the extra mile to ensure the best possible outcome.
St. Kieran Executive Director Monique Lavertu and her husband Robin have been working with Lane since January and have both met with great success; losing 35 and 30 pounds respectively.
"The process helps us with putting what we already know into practice," Lavertu states. "The information isn’t earth shattering; we know we have to move our mouths a little less and our feet a little more. We are continually amazed with the choices that we make with regard to food selection and exercise. We don’t have to convince ourselves that we’d rather have carrots than chocolate cake. Given the choice these days, the cake loses every single time. We don’t try to explain it, we just know that it’s working for us!"
