LITTLETON — North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency announced that the annual Home Health and Hospice Gala 2017 will again be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Omni Mount Washington Resort on Saturday, Nov. 18.
North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency of Littleton and Northwoods Home Health and Hospice of Lancaster became one operating agency this spring in order to meet their shared goal to bring the best quality home health and hospice care to residents of Coos and Grafton Counties.
North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency now operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of North Country Healthcare. The proceeds from our Home Health and Hospice Gala will support its home care, hospice and long-term care programs, along with ancillary services provided by the agency. Raising these funds to help cover the uncovered costs of the visiting nurses who travel our vast territory seven days per week, 365 days a year, is vital so that they may continue to provide quality home health and hospice are to the patients throughout two of the northern-most counties in New Hampshire.
The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. A formal plated dinner will follow with choices of: grilled flank steak with chimichurri, pan seared chicken breast with pesto, or baked haddock with lemon cream sauce. The vegetarian dish will be seared tofu with vegetables and tomato coulis.
Throughout the evening there will be silent auctions with rolling closing times to ensure guests the opportunity for getting in that last winning bid. There will also be a live auction with guest auctioneer, Mike Kopp of North Country Ford and Schurman Motor Company. Auction items will be made up of art and photography by local artists, handmade quilts and journeys to great destinations, admissions to various amusements and more.
The band Brandy will be returning with their high-energy style that gets guests out of their seats and on to the dance floor. They have been recognized throughout New England as a premier band whose performances include a wide variety of instrumentation. Due to their great vocals, much of the band’s popularity (almost 200 performances per year) has been determined by their ability to sound like the original artists. Brandy has been a mainstay in the New England music scene and has performed for numerous celebrities, charities and dignitaries.
