North Country Chorus begins 65th season

WELLS RIVER VT. -- The North Country Chorus is proud to announce the start of its 65th concert season. Weekly rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, September 5, at 7:15 pm at the Wells River Congregational Church in Wells River, Vt. Plans are underway to perform Conrad Susa's Carols From the Southwest and Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols in early December in area churches. During this year the group will also be preparing for its summer 2013 concert tour of Scotland.The North Country Chorus, under the leadership of Musical Director Alan Rowe, is a community chorus of about 80 members serving the Upper Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. The Chorus typically presents two series of concerts each year as well as three nights of Madrigal Dinners in January. Performances during the Christmas season and in the spring feature mostly sacred works.
The chorus welcomes all singers who are willing to commit to its standards of attendance and musical excellence. New members are invited to join the group through September 12. Anyone interested in joining should contact Alan Rowe, Musical Director, at 802-748-5027.
