City gets $1 million loan for Godfrey water line work

BERLIN – The city has received a $1 million USDA Rural Development loan to study and make improvements to the water transmission line from Godfrey Dam.

GORHAM – Sled Fest 2013 hits Gorham this weekend with a list of activities that includes radar runs, a pancake breakfast, mystery poker run, a bonfire on the common, live entertainment, an antique snowmobile display, and dining specials at local restaurants. All that on top of hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails with new snow expected this weekend to make riding conditions exceptional.

SHELBURNE—The Gorham/Randolph/Shelburne Cooperative School Board discussion at its meeting Tuesday at the Shelburne town hall ranged myriad topics, but wound up with many thanks to Angela Brown, of Randolph, for her long time service on the board as she sat in on her last school board meeting. Brown has been on the board since the Cooperative was formed and was a Randolph School Board member before that, for a total of nine years (2004-2013).

An executive councilor and state senator believe the Northern Pass is going to offer the state money to run a portion of its transmission line along Route 3 in northern New Hampshire to get around conservation land blocking its path.
