Thursday, Feb. 7
2:19 p.m. Police received a report of a scam. The victim had sent $3,000 to Nigeria.
Friday, Feb. 8
6:29 p.m. Police responded to an accident at Gorham Height Road and Gorham Hill Road. A vehicle slid and took out a stop sign. There were no injuries.
9:57 p.m. Kyle Wedge, 25, Berlin, was arrested for disobeying an officer, driving after suspension and contempt of court. He was transported to the House of Corrections. No court date was available.
10:27 p.m. Police received a report of a runaway juvenile male. He was later found and returned.
Saturday, Feb. 9
9:59 a.m. David Dernbach, 66, Gorham was given a summons for driving after revocation or suspension. He was given a court date of March 12.
3:56 p.m. Victor Polanco, 30, was given a summons for driving after suspension. He was given a court date of March 12.
Sunday, Feb. 10
7:00 a.m. John Cassidy, 19, Bangor, ME., was given a traffic citation for speed.
2:54 p.m. Police received a report of a disagreement between two parties who had rented a storage unit as to who owned the contents. Police advised them this was a civil matter.
Monday, Feb. 11
11:08 a.m. Police took a juvenile into custody based on a court order regarding DCYF.
Tuesday, Feb. 12
11:45 a.m. Police are investigating a complaint regarding threats made by a former employee to a local business.
1:44 p.m. Police received a complaint from a Randolph resident that a male had taken a vehicle without permission. It was referred to Randolph police.
Wednesday, Feb. 13
12:27 p.m. Police are investigating a possible theft of sneakers from Walmart by a woman.
Thursday, Feb. 14
10:34 p.m. A police officer noticed a vehicle parked behind a local business that had been closed for a number of hours. He took note of the license plate in case something was reported later.
Friday, Feb.. 15
6:49 p.m. Police are investigating a possible fraudulent purchase made through Walmart.com using a Berlin resident's credit card.
9:55 p.m. Brad Yohn, 33, Dillsburg, PA., was given a traffic citation for speed.
Saturday, Feb. 16
6:38 p.m. Brianna Landry, 15, Gorham; Zachary Theriault, 14, Berlin; and Trevor Theriault, 15, were all given a summons for minor in possession of tobacco products. No court date was available.
Sunday, Feb. 17
7:09 p.m. Raeline Couture, 29, Berlin, was arrested for driving after revocation or suspension. She was released on $350 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of March 12.
Monday, Feb. 18
6:10 p.m. A Gorham resident reported a scam. He received an email that said it was from the Justice Department saying he had been caught watching child porn on line, but if he paid $300 his name would be cleared.
6:54 p.m. Police are investigating a family situation in which one family member reported being assaulted by another in the household.
Wednesday, Feb. 20
8:11 a.m. Police received a report from a Milan resident who said their car was a victim of a hit and run with damage in the Walmart parking lot on Feb. 12. It is under investigation.
8:51 a.m. Police received a report from DCYF of a 16 year old juvenile being abused in the home. It is under investigation.
11:35 p.m. Police received a report from a Berlin resident that she was the victim of an attempted assault that occured in town. It is under investigation.

12:30 p.m. Jason Whittum, 18, Dalton, was arrested for driving after renovation. He was released on $350 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of March 26.
4:06 p.m. Jean Manguay, 58, Berlin, was arrested on a warrant. He was released on $350 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of March 26.
7:33 p.m. Police received a report of a male assaulting another male over a girl.
Tuesday, Feb. 19
12:02 a.m. Police responded to a report of criminal trespass. Police arrested three people. Andrew Lawton, 18, no address available, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled drug. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of April 2. Ian Wellinghurst, 20, Fryeburg, ME, was arrested on charges of possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and possession of controlled drugs. He was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of April 2. Derek Theit, 19, North Conway, was arrested for possession of a controlled drug. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of April 2.
7:00 a.m. Kelly Jordan, 30, Phoenix, AZ., was given a traffic citation for speed.
10:27 a.m. Alex Wheeler, 18, Berlin, was arrested on a charge of sexual assault, statutory rape. He was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of March 26.
11:38 a.m. Heather Charron, 23, was arrested on an charge of acts prohibited. She was released on a $350 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of March 5.
6:44 p.m. Kevin Croteau, 26, Berlin, was given a traffic citation for speed.
Wednesday, Feb. 20
12:29 p.m. A Burgess Street resident reported her neighbor had been spinning the tires of a 4-wheeler. When she came out she noticed her windshield was cracked.
7:08 p.m. A State Street resident reported another male had threatened him with a gun.
10:53 p.m. Richard Devoe, 23, Berlin was arrested for simple assault, criminal mischief, and criminal threatening. He was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail. No court date was available.

Berlin District Court Feb. 13

Berlin District Court was in session on February 13 and the following cases were heard.
Raymond C. Molholland, 40, Berlin, was found guilty of DWI, first offense, and fined $620. He was referred to the IDCMP program and his license was suspended for nine months. A second charge of DWI was nol prossed and he entered no plea on a charge of habitual offender.
A complaint of simple assault against Matthew D. Downing, 17, Milan, was placed on file without a finding on one year of good behavior. He was ordered to give 20 hours of community service and to continue counseling.
April Baillargeon, 37, Gorham, was found guilty of theft and fined $248. She was sentenced to 90 days in the House of Corrections, suspended on one year of good behavior, and given one year probation.
A complaint of theft against Aaron W. Brown, 37, Berlin, was placed on file without a finding on year of good behavior. He must also return the item within 30 days.
A complaint of driving after revocation or suspension against Christopher Garneau, 19, Berlin, was placed on file without a finding on one year of good behavior, including no motor vehicle offenses.
Jaymie L. Bouchard, 24, Berlin, was found guilty of driving after revocation or suspension and fined $620, with $120 waived.
Brandon R. Bisson, 16, Gorham, was found guilty of disorderly actions and fined $124. A complaint of original and youth operator restriction was placed on file without a finding on six months of good behavior.
Ryan E. Letarte, 30, Berlin, was found guilty of violation of protective order. He was sentenced to the House of Corrections for 33 days and was credited with 33 days of pre-trial confinement.
Ricky Rano, 50, Berlin, was found guilty of reckless operation and fined $620. His license was revoked for 60 days. Two complaints of DWI were both nol prossed.
A complaint of possession of controlled/narcotic drugs against Stacey A. Amato, 37, Berlin, was placed on file without a finding on one year of good behavior.
Randy S. Duguay, 32, Berlin, was found guilty of driving after revocation or suspension and fined $310.
Rene L. Poulin, 42, Berlin, was found guilty of driving after revocation or suspension and fined $310.
Abbey Boutin, 29, Milan, was found guilty of DWI and fined $930. She was referred to the IDCMP program and her license was revoked for three years (second offense within 10 years) She was also found guilty of driving after revocation or suspension and fined $620. A second charge of DWI was nol prossed.
Mary Morin, 20, Berlin, was found guilty of motor vehicle offense, city ordinance, and fined $124.
A complaint of criminal mischief against Justin E. Murphy, 26, Pawtucket, R.I. was placed on file without a finding on one year of good behavior. He must pay restitution of $525.
A complaint of disorderly conduct against Kimberly Westerlund, 22, Berlin, was placed on file without a finding on one year of good behavior.
Marc P. Labbe, 28, Berlin, was found guilty of driving after revocation or suspension and fined $310.
A complaint of unlawful possession of alcohol against Ashley R. Premo, 17, Berlin, was placed on file without a finding on one year of good behavior. She must also complete the Third Millennium Program.
Jackson Penney, 20, Gorham, was found guilty of unlawful possession of alcohol and fined $372.
Tyler Tessier, 20, Gorham, was found guilty of unlawful possession of alcohol and fined $372.

Berlin police Feb.14-17

Berlin police responded to 240 calls from Feb. 14-17. Among them were:
Thursday, Feb. 14
11:06 a.m. Ronda Deltufo. 51, Berlin, was given a summons for driving without a valid license.
2:46 p.m. Police received a report of two large groups of juveniles fighting on Willard and School Streets. No one was around when police arrived.
3:15 p.m. Police are investigating a letter received by a local business with inappropriate, sexually explicit language in it.
9:05 p.m. Berlin police assisted state police in the arrest of Dennis Thomas, 58, Berlin, for DWI. He was released on a $500 personal recognizance bail and given a Feb. 19 court date.
Friday, Feb. 15
10:17 a.m. David Levitt, 48, Manchester, was given a traffic citation for traffic light violation.
2:08 p.m. Nina Villnave, 33, Berlin, was arrested at the Berlin District Courthouse on two electronic bench warrants for driver's license prohibition and driving after revocation or suspension. She was released on a total of $1,110 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of Feb. 22.
11:50 p.m. Police noticed OHRV signs on York and Cole Streets had been pulled down and were stuck in storm drains. They were pulled out and put back up.
Saturday, Feb. 16
7:25 a.m. Eric Arnold, 20, Milan, was given a traffic citation for traffic light violation.
9:24 a.m. Shawn Drouin, 27, Berlin. Was given a traffic citation for non-inspection.
11:17 a.m. Stuart Nelson, 31, Berlin, was arrested on an in-state warrant out of Maine for fugitive from justice. No bail or court date was available.
3:42 p.m. James Bartett, 24, Berlin, was arrested for driving after revocation or suspension. He was released on $198.50 bail and given a court date of March 3.
10:58 p.m. Douglass Aikens, 42, Berlin, was arrested on three counts of criminal mischief and three counts of simple assault. No bail or court date information was available.
Sunday, Feb. 17
12:52 a.m. Berlin police responded to the Ming House to assist state and Gorham police. Two were transported to the Gorham Police Department. No further information was available.
3:22 p.m. James Roy, 20, Berlin, was arrested on a charge of false registration or inspection sticker. He was released on $350 personal recognizance bail and given a court date of March 26.
