Maurice Gagne funeral service
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Maurice Gagne, of Berlin, on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Holy Family Church with Reverend Marc Gagne as Celebrant. The Cantor was Shirley Jackson, accompanied by Debra Patrick as organist. The Alter Server was John Frechette.
The Pall was placed by his Son Paul Gagne, his wife Andrea, his son Eric Gagne and girlfriend Julie. His granddaughter, Katie Gagne placed the cross. Serving as reader was Louise Gagne.
Interment followed the services at Holy Family Cemetery, Gorham, NH. Serving as Pallbearers were Paul Gagne, Eric Gagne, Donald Gagne, Richard Gagne, Stan Kurpewski and Normand Frechette.
Full Military Honors were performed by The Marine Corps League and the White Mountain Veteran’s Council Honor Guard. Maurice’s two sons, Paul Gagne and Eric Gagne, received the flag in their fathers honor.
There were numerous friends and family members that attended the service from in and out of town.

Florence Poirier service
Funeral Services for Florence Poirier, 91, of Berlin, NH who passed away on March 3, 2013, were held on April 13, 2013 at the Bryant Funeral Home in Berlin. Reverend Marc Gagne officiated. The organist was Jeannie Bosa and the soloist was Madeline Jeffrey. Interment was in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Father Marc read the committal prayers. Many relatives and friends attended the service.

Clara Elizabeth (Laporte) Elson
Clara Elizabeth Elson, 94, died Thursday evening April 11, 2013, at the Coos County Nursing Home in West Stewartstown. Mrs. Elson was born on January 19, 1919 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of Arthur and Jennie (Monroe) LaPorte.
Family members include her sons Robert Gustafson of Colebrook, NH and Donald Gustafson of Taunton, MA, five grandchildren Lee Gustafson of Sinclairville, NY, Glenn Gustafson of Hiram, OH, Wayne Gustafson of Essex County, England, Sharon Gustafson of Essex County, England and Sharon Gustafson of Taunton, MA, four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Lucille B. Montminy funeral service
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St Anne Church of Good Shepherd for Lucille B. Montminy of Berlin on Tuesday, April 2nd. Lucille’s son, Rev Paul Montminy of Manchester was the main celebrant and his brother Rev Marc Montminy of Exeter delivered the homily. Close to 60 diocesan catholic priests from NH concelebrated with Fr. Paul. Present in the sanctuary were Bishop Peter Libasci, Auxiliary Bishop Francis Christian, retired Bishop John McCormack and Auxiliary Bishop of Boston Robert Hennessey. Abbot Mark Cooper of St Anselm Abbey also attended the service. Deacon Andrew Nelson assisted Father Paul in the celebration of the Mass.
The Pall was placed by her children and their spouses, Dr Roland Montminy and his wife Terry, Denise Connors and her husband Dr. David Connors. Her son, Father Marc placed the cross. Serving as readers were her grandsons Matthew Montminy and Colin Connors. Elizabeth Key Montminy recited the prayer of the faithful. The Rev. Ed Munz from St Catherine of Siena Parish in Manchester proclaimed the Good News to the worshipers. The offertory gifts were presented by Roland & Terry Montminy and Denise and David Connors.
Honorary pall bearers included Alana Montminy Bergeron, Brenna Connors, and Elizabeth Key Montminy. Serving as pall bearers were grandsons Matthew, David, and Alan Montminy, Colin Connors, and nephews Andre Beaupre and Charles Horan.
A delegation of 40 representatives of the Marie Rivier Association led by Sisters Pauline Sauvageau and Anne Beausoleil were also present at the ceremony. Also in attendance were numerous Presentation of Mary sisters from Manchester, Hudson and Methuen. Rev Roland Blais, Lucille’s 94-year-old brother made the trip from Manchester for the funeral.
The Good Shepherd Choir provided their very best musical selections to a packed congregation consisting of friends and family from Berlin and Gorham and many others from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Ohio, Quebec, and Germany. The family was honored to have Archbishop Lacroix of Quebec visit Berlin on Monday to offer his condolences.
A special thanks to Rev Marc Gagne and Rev Kyle Stanton as well as the servers and choir of Good Shepherd Parish for making this a very special event.
