In First Circuit Court, District Division, Berlin, the following cases were heard on previous court dates:
October 26, 2016:
Jason Rainault, 40, 174 South Main St., Colbrook, was found guilty of criminal trespass for entering Gords Store in Milan after the store had closed for the night, and criminal mischief for breaking the glass front door of Gords Store. Rainault was ordered to serve two concurrent six-month sentences in the Coos County House of Corrections which were both suspended for six months on the condition he maintains good behavior for two years, that he stay 50 feet from Gords Store for two years, and that he pay restitution in the amount of $515.62 to Gords Store through the Department of Corrections. He also was ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $1,240 which was suspended on the above conditions. Rainault was placed on probation for 12 months. Charges of attempted burglary and contempt of court were nolle prossed. In another incident Rainault was charged with willful concealment for taking two beverages from the Big Apple store which was placed on file without a finding on the condition he maintains good behavior for one year and that he pay restitution to the Big Apple in the amount of $3. Two counts of theft by unauthorized taking at the Big Apple store were nolle prossed.
November 08, 2016:
Andrew Brown, 19, 617 1st Ave., Berlin, was found guilty of hunting without a license to do so and ordered to pay a fine of $186, with $93 suspended on the condition he maintains good behavior for one year to include no Fish & Game violations.
