1st Circuit Court – District Division Berlin – Tuesday, June 20, 2017


In First Circuit Court, District Division, Berlin, on Tuesday, June 20, the following cases were heard:

Derrick L. Washington, 48, 2 Water St., Gorham, was charged with a traffic violation, which was nolle prossed.

Robert A. Lewis III, 39, 53 Church St., Groveton, was found guilty of unlawful possession of a controlled drug, marijuana, and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $420.

Mary Seeley, 58, 1791 Riverside Drive, Berlin, was found guilty of willful concealment for taking merchandise from the Family Dollar Store without paying for it and was ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $372 and to pay restitution to the victim in the amount of $19.62.

Danielle Hayford, 40, 2 Birch St., Berlin, was found guilty of unlawful possession of a controlled drug, marijuana, and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $434.

Joel Chaloux, 34, 2 Birch St., Berlin, was found guilty of unlawful possession of a controlled drug, marijuana, and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $434.

Sylvie Blair, 64, 117 Wentworth Ave., Berlin, was found guilty of driving while intoxicated and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $930, and to complete the Impaired Driver Care Management Program. Blair also lost her license to operate a motor vehicle for nine months with the opportunity to petition the court for early reinstatement after three months. A charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated and a charge of failing to yield to an emergency vehicle were nolle prossed.

Casey Gilman, 28, 519 Goebel St., Berlin, was charged with criminal mischief for throwing toilet water on a holding cell floor in the Berlin Police Department causing the paint to peel. The charge was placed on file without a finding on the condition she maintains good behavior for one year and that she pay restitution to the Berlin Police Department in the amount of $116.08 within six months of her court date.

Samuel Essig, 17, 526 Hillsboro St., Berlin, was charged of being a minor in possession of alcohol, which was placed on file without a finding on the condition he maintains good behavior for one year and that he completes the 3rd Millennium Program within 45 days of his court date and file proof of completion with the Berlin Police Department.

Crystal L. Bell, 32, 107 Norway St., Berlin, was charged with a hands-free violation for using an electronic device while driving. The charge was placed on file without a finding on the condition she maintains good behavior for one year, and that she complete the defensive driving course by January 1, 2018, and file proof of completion with the Berlin Police Department.

Kaitlyn Adam, 18, 98 Mason St., Berlin, was found guilty of unlawful possession of a controlled drug, marijuana, and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $434. Adam also was found guilty of being a minor in possession of alcohol and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $744. Two charges of contempt of court were nolle prossed.

Russ C. Luciano, 30, 112 Willard St., Berlin, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle after his license to do so was suspended and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $335.

Zachiah Houle, 14, 663 Gendron, St., Berlin, was found guilty of being a minor in possession of a tobacco product and ordered to perform 20 hours of community service to be completed within 45 days of his court date and file proof of completion with the court.

Ashley Connelly, 28, 385 Pearl St., Manchester, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled drug, marijuana, and unlawful transport of a controlled drug, and having an open container of alcohol in her vehicle. All of the charges were nolle prossed.
