1st Circuit Court – District Division Berlin – Wednesday, August 30, 2017


In First Circuit Court, District Division, Berlin, on Wednesday, August 30, the following cases were heard:

Jason Farren, 40, 562 First Ave., Berlin, was found guilty of domestic violence-simple assault-physical contact and was ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $670 with $620 suspended, and ordered to serve 30 days in the Coos County House of Corrections, which was suspended. Suspensions are on the condition that he maintains good behavior for one year.

Brian P. Manchester, 40, 307 First Ave., Berlin, was found guilty of unlawful passing of a vehicle on the left and ordered to pay a fine of $124. A charge of passing a school bus was nolle prossed.

Raul Farcas. 34, 191 Route 16, Bartlett was found guilty of violating a City of Berlin ordinance regarding motor vehicles and ordered to pay a fine of $150. A charge of speeding for traveling 45 miles-per-hour in a 25-mile-per-hour zone on Glen Avenue was nolle prossed.

Ryan Guay, 20, 36 Devens St., Berlin, was found guilty of negligent driving for operating a vehicle at a speed that endangered the lives of the public and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $310. Guay also was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled drug, marijuana, which was placed on file without a finding on the condition he maintains good behavior for one year, and that he completes the 3rd Millennium Program for alcohol and marijuana within 45 days of his court date. A charge of unlawful transport of alcohol by a minor was placed on file without a finding on the condition Guay maintains good behavior for one year.

Harold Hannigan, 67, 576 Champlain St., Berlin, was found guilty of criminal trespass for entering Dead River Park in Berlin after being ordered not to do so for one year and was ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $124.

Dakota Montminy, 20, 411 School St., Berlin, was found guilty of unlawful possession of a controlled drug, unspecified on complaint, and was ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $620 payable by incarceration for four days in the Coos County House of Corrections.

Devin Buckley, 23, 212 East Mason St., Berlin, was found guilty of criminal trespass for remaining on the property of the Androscoggin Valley Hospital after being told to leave and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $248 payable by performing 16.53 hours of community service before Sept. 29. A charge of disorderly conduct was nolle prossed.

Kevin Arnold, 40, 27 Devens St., Berlin, was found guilty of reckless operation of a motor vehicle and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $620, and to forfeit his license to operate a vehicle for 60 days. A charge of domestic violence-simple assault-physical contact was placed on file without a finding on the condition he maintains good behavior for one year. A charge of driving while intoxicated was nolle prossed.

Devon Houde, 20, 229 Pollard Road, Lincoln, was found guilty of shoplifting-willful concealment for taking merchandise from Walmart in Gorham valued at $74.05 without paying for it and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $310.
