In First Circuit Court, District Division, Berlin, on Wednesday, September 27, the following cases were heard:
Siarra Bergami, 22, 41 Paine St., Berlin, was charged with two counts of simple assault, a charge of criminal mischief, and a charge of disorderly conduct, which were all nolle prossed.
Paul Ouellette Trucking, Inc., 545 Milan Road, Milan, was found guilty on two counts of weight violation and ordered to pay fines totaling $553.
Errol M. Newton, 76, 86 Granite St., Berlin, was found guilty of reckless operation of a motor vehicle and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $620 and surrender his license to operate a vehicle for 60 days. A charge of driving under the influence of alcohol was nolle prossed.
Ava Menard, 19, 42 Alpine St., Berlin, was found guilty of willful concealment for taking merchandise valued at $8.97 from the Cumberland Farms store in Gorham without paying for it. She was ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $310 which was suspended on the condition she maintains good behavior for one year and that she participates in counseling and file proof of her participation with the court on a quarterly basis. A charge of unlawful possession of a controlled drug, marijuana, also was placed on file without a finding with the same conditions applied as the above charge. A charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol was placed on file without a finding on the condition she maintains good behavior for one year. Charges of contempt of court and criminal mischief were nolle prossed.
Roland Sanschagrin, 46, 1116 West Milan Road, Milan, was charged with prohibited sales of alcohol for providing alcohol to a minor and with hindering apprehension which were both placed on file without a finding on the condition he maintains good behavior for one year.
Debra Bourque, 26, 378 Madison Ave., Berlin, was found guilty of willful concealment for taking merchandise valued at $50 from the Walmart store in Gorham without paying for it and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $310.
David Cooperider, 26, 28 Spring St., Berlin, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit willful concealment for participating in the theft of merchandise valued at $5 from Walmart and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $310.
Jennifer Lozeau, 33, 28 Spring St., Berlin, was found guilty of willful concealment for taking merchandise valued at $5 from Walmart without paying for it and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $310.
Brian Miller, 42, 46 High St., Berlin, was found guilty of theft by deception selling a 2001 Honda CRV for $600 without disclosing that the car was subject to a $468 lien. Miller was ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $620 which was suspended on the condition he pay restitution to the victim in the amount of $600 within six months of his court date payable through the Department of Corrections, and that he maintains good behavior for one year.
Michael J. Wallin, 43, 58 Oakwood Road, Huntington, N.Y., was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle in Berlin without a valid license to do so on September 3, 1999, and ordered to pay a fine of $60.
Lindsy Ball, 33, 94 Bell Hill Road, Stark, was found guilty of criminal trespass for entering the parking lot of Walmart after being told by the court not to do so and was ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $124.
Cole Bernard, 32, 642 Fourth Ave., Berlin, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license to do so and ordered to pay a fine and penalty of $620.
