Due to flushing of hydrants on Wednesday, May 14, dirty water or no water may affect the following areas for short periods of time. Streets affected are: Maynesboro Street, Turcotte Street, Pershing Avenue, Riverside Drive to Armory to Williamson Avenue, Howard Street, Twitchell Lane.

AVRRDD approves budgets, landfill purchase expected by end of year

BERLIN -- The Androscoggin Valley Regional Refuse and Disposal District last night approved 2003 budgets for both the district and the Mount Carberry landfill.
