To the editor: I have a bit of a problem with the newest populist Governor Howard Dean running for President. He has the right language, but where is his heart? Are you telling me this son of Park Avenue investment bankers in New York City, who summered in the Long Island, Hampton, with the movie stars graduated from Yale and became a physician and practiced in Vermont? Now I see he’s getting campaigning advice from the Washington pendants and hanging out with the stars. For us that grew up on Coos Street across the street from the mill and summered at the reservoir at the end of Burgess Street and graduated from St. Anselm’s, it will take more in deeds. It looks to me that he has the passion for power, I am not sure of his passion for regular people? I think the people are hungry for someone with a soul, but after seeing him live and feeling his aura, I think he has the words, but not the soul. Yes, I am still looking them over having eliminated Bush, Kerry and Dean from personal observations.
