CONWAY — The Kennett High boys’ soccer team came oh-so-close to getting into the win column on Friday afternoon. The Eagles and Stevens High appeared headed for overtime in a scoreless match when, seemingly out of nowhere, a Cardinal redirected a cross from outside the penalty area that flew into the back of the KHS net. Stevens left town with the 1-0 win.

The loss dropped Kennett to 0-8-1 on the season in Division II play, while Stevens improved to 3-5 on the fall.
