NHCTC pucksters to battle Dartmouth

The New Hampshire Community Technical College Golden Eagles will take on the Dartmouth Big Green club team on Saturday night at the Notre Dame Arena in Berlin at 6:45 p.m. It will be the first home game for Eagles in three seasons. The locals are 1-0, coming off a 7-2 win over the Vermont Technical College Stars on December 8.

Junior forward Chad Lauze of the University of Southern Maine Huskies men's ice hockey team has been selected by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) as its Division III East Men's Player of the Week for the week-ending January 19. The season opened for the Third and Fourth Grade Boys Basketball with Berlin teams Bears and Bulls pitted against one another. The Bulls charged ahead with an early 10-0 lead. The Bears got on the scoreboard in the second quarter with four points but the Bulls added another six for a 16-4 first half lead. Comets crowned champs of hillside elementary

Playing a phenomenal second half led by Sariah Millis, the Comets surged ahead for a convincing 40-24 win over the Highcuts in the girls Hillside Elementary basketball championship game on Friday. Millis scored a game high 21 points in the contest, balancing her efforts in each half, scoring ten in the first half and eleven in the second.
