Tearing down this 800-foot building at 15 Moultonville Road would create 20 parking spaces, said Ossipee Selectman Jonathan Smith. (DAYMOND STEER PHOTO)

CONWAY — Ossipee selectmen on Monday voted to explore the idea of tearing down a small town-owned building downtown so a parking lot can be built.

The 800-square-foot structure at 15 Moultonville Road came up at Monday’s selectmen’s meeting. It was used for years by the Ossipee Main Street Program. But selectmen’s chair Jonathan Smith said the Main Street Program is essentially defunct.

Jonathan Smith sure is a sneaky one. This should have brought this up at the town meeting and he knows it. He had his own agenda all along.

The town should have a special meeting and remove him for these dishonest acts.
