TAMWORTH — A serious collision involving a tractor-trailer and a sedan that occurred at midday Wednesday and happened just north of Washington Hill Road closed Route 16 and necessitated the driver being airlifted to Maine Med.
At the scene, Tamworth Police Chief Dana Littlefield said Timothy Depalmer, 58, of Bridgton, Maine, was heading north when he collided with the tractor trailer.
